About the Project

Roche Pharma, through its product Foundation Medicine Inc. (FMI), aimed to provide precision cancer therapy by identifying patient-specific DNA and RNA mutations. DigiTrends partnered with Roche to develop Genecipher, an interactive card-based game designed to educate healthcare professionals (HCPs) on recognizing mutations in cancer cells for early intervention and improved treatment outcomes.

The Solution

To address these challenges, DigiTrends developed a card-based game that transformed the way healthcare professionals learned to identify mutations in various cancer cells.

Card-Based Interactive Game

We developed a novel game where cards display mutations for 5 seconds before flipping, allowing HCPs to identify them actively.

Real-Time Feedback and Health Metrics

Incorrect selections reduce health points, trigger visual alerts, and prompt the HCP to use the FMI button for guidance.

Gamified Learning with Bonus Features

The FMI button reveals additional mutations and discoveries, while “Try Again” functionality allows resetting without losing remaining time, encouraging mastery of content.
